Charles Guy: Sakes Alive
Released: 2009
While playing live at venues around southern Oregon, Charles Guy has also been busy in the studio to record and master his solo album, "Sakes Alive." Primarily composed by Guy, who plays guitar and keyboards as well as performing lead vocals. The album also features Jeffry Smith on percussion and Daniel Sperry on Cello. Influenced by Spanish flamenco, this album is like an escape south of the border with a good friend.
A Thousand Suns: Spark of Light
Released: 1993
Recorded in 1993 with Debra Harris Guy, and featuring the percussion of Mike Fitch, keyboards from Dal Carver, and additional music by Bob Evoniuk, "Spark of Light" features a lively collaboration of Irish and Celtic influenced flute and vocal work from Debra Harris Guy and the more down-home southerly acoustic guitar of Charles Guy. The mix of styles on "Spark of Light" is quite an enchanting experience.
